DEVELOPING WEB BASED EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES
 
The aim of this study is to explain the web-based education program development stages and website content for individuals with type 2 diabetes. In editing the subject headings and content of the website; National and international web sites, training booklets and current literature used today were used. Expert opinions were taken with the DISCERN Measurement Tool in order to evaluate the reliability and information quality of the website. Ateþman's Readability Formula was used to determine the difficulty level of the website content. A pilot study was conducted to test its intelligibility for patients. Pilot application results were evaluated with the WAMMI Scale. As a result of the expert evaluations of the topics and content of the website, it was determined that the total score average of the DISCERN Measurement Tool was 4.73 (±0.5). These findings show that the website is reliable and has good information quality. According to the readability index of the website, Ateþman's Readability Formula, the readability level of the site content was found to be 40% medium difficulty and 38% easy. The WAMMI scale scored above 85% from all sub-dimensions and it was seen that the website was well-understood in terms of patients. In line with expert opinions and patient evaluations, necessary corrections were made on the website, and the final version of the research was started.
